Help for alter (Gnome Command)

Syntax: alter (type) (type)

Using this, a player may attempt to alter a weapon from its
original type to another type. Only logical alterations can be made,
for example, you cannot alter a bow into a sword. A weapon may only
be altered once, for the alterations place such stress on the weapon
that it would surely break if done again. The whole process will make a
weapon slightly less effective as it was in its original state.
